A cylindrical achromat is a single component made by joining two cylindrical surface lenses with different refractive indices.

OSE-UDL-NUDL

These lenses contain elements that have different refractive indices and produce a high degree of correction over a bandwidth of 200 - 400 nm.
Protective windows can be attached to the focusing lens to minimize damage from laser processing.
